What is Cryptocurrency?

Cryptocurrency is digital money that operates over the internet.

Instead of banks, transactions are processed through decentralized networks (e.g., the TRON blockchain).

What are TRX and USDT (TRC-20)?

• TRX (Tronix) is the native cryptocurrency of the TRON blockchain. It is used to pay transaction fees. Usually, a small amount of TRX is sent to complete a transaction.
• USDT (Tether) is a stable cryptocurrency (stablecoin) pegged to the US dollar. 1 USDT ≈ 1 USD.

• TRC-20 is the standard for tokens on the TRON blockchain.

What does this mean in simple terms?

When you send money to a wallet via TRC-20, you:

• use a fast and low-cost network (TRON),
• receive the transfer almost instantly.

Step 1:

‍

• Obtain the address and keys for funding via KeyTether "Here"
• After generating the wallet, you will see the following information:

Wallet address — your personal TRON address for receiving TRX and USDT (TRC-20)

(example: TEcbwo99vF6euDkfP8yCBSAvpHmdo4mRi5)

Public key — an open key used to verify transactions

Private key — a secret key granting full access to the funds in the wallet

Important: Never share your private key with anyone and store it securely!

Your wallet address is like a bank account number. You can share it with others or use it to receive funds.

The private key cannot be recovered. If you lose it, access to the wallet will be lost forever. KeyTether does not have access to your data, including the private key.

Important: Start by making test transactions with small amounts.

Step 2: Obtain USDT (TRC-20)

Option 1: You already have cryptocurrency

• Transfer USDT (TRC-20) to your address (see Step 1)
• If you have other cryptocurrencies, such as BTC or ETH, you can exchange them for USDT TRC-20 via an exchange or exchanger.

Option 2: You don’t have cryptocurrency

Options:

• Ask a friend who already has cryptocurrency to send you some USDT TRC-20.
• Buy via a P2P service (e.g., Binance P2P, where you can pay with a bank card).
• Use an exchanger, such as:

Step 3: Transfer to the wallet you created with KeyTether

‍

1. Use your TRON wallet address in the exchanger, app, or exchange.

2. Select USDT (TRC-20) as the currency and network.

3. Enter the amount and confirm.

4. After confirmation, the transfer usually arrives within 1–3 minutes.

Important to remember:

• Always verify that the network is TRC-20 (not ERC-20, BEP-20, etc.)
• Never share your private key with anyone.
